She was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma in April of 2014, and was ready to celebrate the end of her treatment when volunteers offered to grant her wish. She knew right away that it was to go to New York City and go to as many Broadway shows as possible. During the planning of Hannah’s wish, she experienced a relapse. She was still able to go on the wish, and it would be a welcome distraction to help her through upcoming treatments.

Hannah’s two older brothers and parents accompanied her to the Big Apple. She saw three shows with her family while in New York. The family also took time to be tourists and visited Central Park, the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and the 911 Memorial Museum. She also spent time in MOMA and Times Square.

The family called the trip magical, perfect and amazing. After her wish trip, Hannah enrolled in Clemson University and will major in performing arts. Even though she is still undergoing treatment, she is living her life with the good kind of drama in her heart.
